Migrate one Clay table

Import one Clay table, rebuild columns, review ten pilot rows, and compare per-row cost.

Use this week_1 play when moving one Clay people or company table into Dreamstate worksheet. Do not use it for copying Clay formulas or provider settings, or running every rebuilt enrichment before 10-row parity review.

Needs and produces

Needs Clay CSV export and ICP context. Prerequisites: CSV export of one Clay table, ICP context for rebuilt fit score, and stated maximum credit budget for 10-row pilot.

Produces imported table, rebuilt enrichment columns, 10-row parity review, and per-row cost comparison. Leading metric: ten pilot rows match Clay values before fanout.

Ordered steps

  1. 1

    Preview and import

Use tables.clay_migrations.preview to read Clay export and propose rebuild for formulas, AI and research prompts, email waterfall, and HTTP. This is free, writes nothing, and lists manual questions. Create CSV upload, stage Clay CSV rows without making them live, attach CSV source with every Clay header as raw column, and land every imported row in bounded chunks.
  2. 2

    Create and quote rebuild

Use tables.clay_migrations.apply to create rebuilt columns in dependency order, switched off, with run conditions on inputs. Use tables.table_runs.preview_cost to quote each rebuilt paid column on 10 pilot rows before running.
  3. 3

    Run, compare, then fan out

Use tables.columns.run on exactly 10 pilot rows. Use tables.clay_migrations.compare to compare rebuilt values with original Clay values and show credits per row beside Clay's. Use tables.columns.run_remaining only after comparison is accepted.

Credits and controls

CSV mapping and import are free. Rebuilt enrichment, verification, and scoring are priced per row, starting with capped 10-row pilot before fanout.
