Notes, inspiration and bookmarks
Use research screens for notes, inspiration, and bookmarks.
Research is the working area for notes, inspiration, and bookmarks. Open Notes at /dashboard/ideas when you need to capture an early idea, revisit a shared idea, or gather material before turning it into a post.
Research is adjacent to, but different from, Context. Context holds durable workspace knowledge with revisions and attribution. Research holds the working material that helps you decide what belongs in Context, what should remain an idea, and what is ready to become a draft.
Use the research surfaces
The sidebar groups Notes, Inspiration, and Bookmarks under Research. Notes opens the Ideas screen. Inspiration has Discover and Templates entries. Bookmarks has Posts and Channels entries. These areas serve different kinds of working material, so choose one based on what you are trying to inspect.
The Ideas screen has My ideas and Team library tabs. My ideas is your working list. Team library contains ideas shared with the workspace. A private idea does not appear in the team list until it is shared, and an idea shared with the workspace remains an idea rather than becoming a draft or a published artifact.
| Research area | Where you see it | Use it for | Check before moving on |
|---|---|---|---|
| Notes | /dashboard/ideas | Create and shape ideas before converting them into posts. | Open My ideas and read the idea row before turning it into another artifact. |
| Team library | /dashboard/ideas | Read ideas that were shared with the workspace. | Check the sharer, shared time, stage, and current workspace. |
| Inspiration | Research navigation | Open Discover or Templates from the Inspiration menu. | Treat inspiration as input to a decision or draft, not as a sourced company fact. |
| Bookmarks | Research navigation | Open saved Posts or Channels. | Read the original saved material before carrying a conclusion into Context or a draft. |
Capture and shape an idea
The Ideas screen is labeled “Create and shape ideas before converting them into posts.” Use Add idea to capture an early draft that is not in the posting calendar. The My ideas table shows an idea name, campaign, status, labels, and creator. Opening a row takes you to that idea’s detail route.
Adding an idea is a workspace action with no model call and no publish time. The capability social.content.ideas_add saves a content idea to the ideas list. It is not a draft generator and does not itself schedule or publish content.
Use social.content.ideas_list to read parked ideas in the current workspace. Its result is cursor-paginated. It does not generate a draft and does not list published content artifacts, so an empty ideas result does not establish that the workspace has no published posts.
The screen search filters the visible ideas by the loaded list. Search helps you locate an existing idea before adding another one. Read the title, campaign, status, labels, and creator to decide whether you should edit the existing work or capture a distinct idea.
| Capability | What it does | Cost policy |
|---|---|---|
social.content.ideas_add | Saves a content idea on the ideas list. | No model call and no publish time. |
social.content.ideas_list | Lists parked ideas for the current workspace with cursor pagination. | Zero-cost, read-only capability. |
Turn research into grounded writing
Research can supply material for writing, but it does not make a business claim true. The writing skill requires every factual claim to trace to a workspace-wiki fact, cited evidence, or a dated external source. It does not fetch the web, and it preserves provenance, freshness, limitations, and injection warnings in a claim ledger.
When a note or bookmark becomes a durable customer fact, positioning decision, or process rule, save the conclusion and source in Context. Keep outside-world observations dated and distinguish an inference from an observed fact. The source and observation date let the next writer judge whether the material is still usable.
When a note is only an early content direction, keep it as an idea. When it is ready for a content lifecycle, turn it into the relevant draft through the real artifact flow. A saved idea is not automatically a scheduled or published post, and a shared idea is not a claim that the whole team has adopted it.
The post inspiration capability social.creator_post_inspiration returns annotated example posts from the account’s creator archetype. Each returned post can carry a hook pattern, post format, and engagement rate. If the account is not classified yet, it returns an empty posts list with the message “Classification in progress.”
That inspiration read is zero cost, makes no model call, and does not trigger classification. Use it as a writing input, then ground any factual statement in Context or cited evidence. Do not copy an example’s claim into your own draft without evidence for your workspace.
Read before you convert an idea
An idea can have a title, brief, funnel stage, suggested structure, suggested topic, suggested tone, campaign, status, labels, and creator. Read those fields before you convert the work into a different artifact.
The screen treats an empty title as Untitled idea. Replace an ambiguous title with a clear working name before teammates need to choose between several similar ideas. The title should identify the idea, not assert a business fact that has not been grounded.
A campaign and a status help identify the working context. Labels help the workspace organize the item. They do not establish that the idea is ready to publish, that a destination is connected, or that a claim has a source.
The writing workflow reads workspace Context, prior published work, and available knowledge before composing. It uses that material to match the workspace voice and check whether an existing page already answers the brief.
A topic and query are not a voice. If you cannot find grounded evidence for a proposed statement, leave it out and identify the missing fact. Keeping an incomplete idea is safer than converting an unsupported claim into a saved draft.
Keep team research useful
Share an idea when the workspace should be able to read and build on it. The share action records the member and time, which lets teammates distinguish a current shared item from an owner’s private working list.
Use the funnel-stage filter only as a view of shared ideas. It supports All stages, TOFU, MOFU, and BOFU. It does not alter the idea or create a new draft.
Before sharing, remove material that should remain private to the idea owner or move durable claims into Context with their source. The team library makes the existing row visible; it does not create a separate redacted copy for the workspace.
When an idea should no longer be team-visible, unpromote it. The row is retained with its owner, while shared visibility and attribution fields are cleared. Check the team library and My ideas after the change.
Research becomes useful when a teammate can tell what the material is, who shared it, what evidence supports it, and which next lifecycle is appropriate. A list of titles without those checks is not a writing brief or a substitute for Context.
When it goes wrong
If My ideas fails to load, the Ideas screen reports Failed to load ideas. If Team library fails, it reports Failed to load team library. Confirm the active workspace and retry the read when the workspace is available. Do not create a replacement idea merely because the list has not loaded.
If a search returns no result, the search only says that no loaded item matches its text. Clear the query, check the correct tab, and inspect the current workspace before deciding that the idea does not exist. Private ideas are absent from Team library by design.
If the Team library is empty, the screen says No shared ideas yet. That does not mean the workspace has no private ideas. It means no ideas have been promoted into the team-visible library. Use My ideas to inspect your own list, and share only an idea that the workspace should see.
If inspiration returns Classification in progress, wait for the account classification state instead of treating the empty example list as a content recommendation. If evidence for a business claim is missing, keep the claim out of the draft and identify the source needed for Context.
Use Context for durable facts and revisions. Use social posts and publishing when an idea is ready for the separate draft, schedule, or delivery lifecycle.
