Connect Claude

Connect Claude to Dreamstate MCP with a browser OAuth sign-in.

Connect Claude to Dreamstate so Claude can work with the selected Dreamstate workspace. Dreamstate uses OAuth, so you do not need a key.

Once connected, you can ask Claude to:

  • Build a scored lead list in a workbook.
  • Enrich workbook rows with work emails.
  • Draft and launch a sequence.
  • Schedule a LinkedIn post.
  • Check AI visibility or read why a run failed.

Before you start

You need a Dreamstate workspace and a Claude plan that supports custom connectors. Team and Enterprise members need an Owner to add the shared connector.

Step-by-step setup

  1. 1

    Open Connectors

In Claude, open Customize > Connectors > Add custom connector.
  2. 2

    Add Dreamstate

Paste https://mcp.trydreamstate.com/mcp, then select Add and Connect.
  3. 3

Sign in to Dreamstate and pick a workspace.
https://mcp.trydreamstate.com/mcp

Authenticate with Dreamstate

Claude opens the Dreamstate sign-in flow. Sign in and pick a workspace, then return to Claude.

Test the connection

Run whoami and tell me which Dreamstate workspace you are connected to.

If it returns your workspace name, setup is complete.

For team or organization setups

A Team or Enterprise Owner adds the shared connector from Organization settings > Connectors > Add > Custom > Web. Use the same URL. In Advanced settings, Use Claude's published identity is recommended, and Register automatically also works. Members then select Connect and sign in to Dreamstate.

What to do next

Read Quickstart, MCP reference, or Your first session.

When it goes wrong

  • I do not see the Connectors option. Confirm that your Claude plan supports custom connectors. On Team or Enterprise, ask an Owner to add Dreamstate in Organization settings > Connectors.
  • The sign-in window opened but nothing happens. Start the connection again from Claude, complete sign-in in that browser window, and allow the browser to return to Claude. A redirect refused error means the connection must begin in Claude.
  • Claude cannot find Dreamstate tools. Select + > Connectors in the active chat and turn on Dreamstate.
  • It connected to the wrong workspace. Ask Claude to run whoami, then reconnect and pick the intended workspace. A 401 Missing Bearer response means that OAuth sign-in must be completed again.

Best practices

  • Test the connection immediately with whoami.
  • Enable Dreamstate for each conversation where Claude requires it.
  • Read tools do not need confirmation. Claude confirms write actions when required.
